A Sudanese official: Darfur rebels are at their weakest state

Khartoum 19/04/2018 – Chairman of the Defense and Security Committee Major General Al-Hadi Adam Hamid said in the parliament that the rebel movements in Darfur are living weakest in their state, and holds them responsibility for the failure of the informal negotiations hosted by the German Foreign Ministry over the past few days.

Hamid told (Tana4Media) that the rebel movements are holding on to the outputs of the (Abuja) Convention signed in 2005, which is outdated, and welcoming them to enter the peace process through the National Dialogue document which the Sudanese political forces agreed upon, and accused the leaders of the movements of not being serious and keen to achieve self-interests without the benefit of the people in the region.
