Sudan requests aircrafts from the International community to stop Human Trafficking

Khartoum 25/04/2018 – Sudan has called on the International community to support it with advanced aircrafts and communication tools so as to control its borders, and stop the smuggling and trafficking of human beings, at a time when a delegation of donor countries stood by the refugees in eastern Sudan and southern Khartoum.

The delegation, which includes representatives from the United States, Sweden, Norway, France, Ireland and Canada, today, concluded there visit to Sudan to discuss the problems and challenges facing the refugee camps in Sudan, and the difficulties faced by refugees from South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The delegation met with Sudanese Minister of Interior Hamid Manan, the Kassala State Government and some Sudanese officials, who were briefed on the challenges faced by refugees in Sudan and the efforts of the government to stop illegal immigration and human trafficking.

The Sudanese Minister requested from the donors to support Sudan, in controlling the border with some equipment, means of transport, advanced communication tools and aircraft so that Sudan can stop the smuggling and human trafficking affecting the refugees.
