Launch of the Tana Forum on African Security in Bahir Dar Ethiopia

Khartoum 21/04/2018 – Bahir Dar Ethiopia began its seventh session of the Tana Forum on African Security with a delegation led by President Omar Al-Bashir and Chad, Togo, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Somalia.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abe Ahmed said at the opening speech at the forum on the aim to create African peace through sincere ownership of finance and reform, leaving no room for foreign interventions.

Pointing out the importance of mobilizing resources for the implementation of the recommendations made the forum through a unified and effective political will, taking into account international challenges, noting that Africa yet has a long way towards strengthening governance.

In turn, chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki stressed the need to achieve justice, peace, prevent crimes and attract resources, in addition to improving the interaction with international parties.
